Operations Director required for a well-established and highly successful European manufacturing company. This is a new role due to growth, you will form part of the Director Team and enjoy an autonomous position where you can add value and influence change throughout the company.
The successful candidate will be an established Director/General Manager who has had experience overseeing Sales, Operational and Marketing functions within a Manufacturing and/or Engineering firm. Applicants need proven experience developing and mentoring a team as well as recognised ability to grow sales revenue and customer base. The company manufacture and distribute their goods on a global basis, those with Engineering background, specifically within industries such as Oil and Gas, Defence or Construction sectors will be particularly suited.
You will have accountability for approximately £40M sales revenue and be directly accountable for 70 reports, both on site and across the UK. Based from the Manchester office you will oversee all operational, sales and marketing activity. This will include working closely with customer service, logistics and transport departments. As an Operations Director you will be responsible for growing sales across the UK, this will involve supporting the field sales team and ensuring the team is achieving their full potential.
Reporting into the CEO you will be accountable for creating and driving all operational strategy, including setting performance goals, identifying hiring needs and identifying investment opportunities. You will manage and develop the Senior Management team and champion excellent customer service and quality products.
